Over the course of the dream we had to sneak into the city, bypass hostile robots, and reset a water purifier system that was essential to keeping civilization running.Īfter that success, they renamed the city and it was at that moment I realized that I had been to the future of it- a years earlier dream visiting the gatacca style future of corporate elites living in a dystopian city where everything is decided by your genetic purity, and the dream followed a grand heist + adventure trying to track down a genetic sample of a 'lucky' mutation that made someone genetically immortal. Later that year, I had a dream of joining a caravan of techno-nomads traveling the ruined nuclear wasteland of the Canadian midwest, looking for relics of the former civilization, and eventually finding a large bunker complex designed to help restart civilization and building a city therein.Ī couple years later I had another dream set a couple hundred years later in the sprawling dystopian city that was built around that bunker complex, the center of which had become overrun by robots and everyone had lost access to. So for example, one place I visited was a massive cityscape in the Canadian midwest, overpopulated and with massive societal issues and the dream pursued a story that culminated in a global nuclear war that saw the city get nuked all to shit- and I woke up. So I often learn about or find myself in a similar area, but chronologically 'after' a previous one, which informs some of the things that have happened there.
